Module 2 | Session 1
Summary
In this opening session of Module 2, the speaker encourages participants to honor their spiritual journey and not let regret, shame, or the enemy’s whispers invalidate the rich history they have with God. As participants step into new depths of development, it’s natural to feel as if they’re starting over—but this is not square one of the entire journey; it’s square one of a new level.
She uses the metaphor of an elevator opening on a new floor, symbolising unfamiliar spiritual territory. While it may feel like everything learned before has been forgotten, it hasn’t. Instead, it has prepared the participant for what comes next. She warns against letting shame disrupt the learning process, reminding listeners that we can’t know what God hasn’t yet revealed—or what we weren’t previously ready to receive.
The example of Jesus is lifted up as the model for discipleship: He lived in full, abiding dependency on the Father and Holy Spirit, without shame, stoicism, or stagnation. That same life is possible for us through Christ in us. As the module progresses, participants will begin identifying specific areas of arrested development in their lives. But rather than skipping over these painful places, the speaker urges listeners to walk through them in cooperation with God.
Finally, she encourages a posture of courage, not fear. Even if the unknown feels intimidating, we can move forward by choosing to trust God’s leadership and continue on this maturing journey together.

Hey everybody, come on in to The Development Project, Module 2, Session 1.
Just a few things I want to remind you of as we step into the next aspect of the development project inside of you.
One of the first and most important things to remember is this:
Never allow anything—not your own regret, not the whispers of the enemy, not the opinions of others—to invalidate the rich history you have with God.
I know He’s already brought you through many problems and traps. He has delivered you in powerful, personal ways. But guess what? We're now pressing further in our development and maturity, which means we’re going places with Him that we’ve never been.
As you walk into these new places with Him, you may experience new levels of self-awareness or revelation. But don’t let that trigger regret or discouragement. You may be tempted to think, “What have I even been doing all these years? Why didn’t I know this sooner?” Don’t go there.
Your rich history with God cannot be erased. This is simply a new depth He is leading you into. He has waited for such a time as this to place this opportunity in your path. Likely, everything that has happened up to this point has prepared you to hear and engage with this phase of the development process.
So, remember—you’re not at square one of the whole journey. You’re at square one of a whole new level.
And yes, it may feel like everything you knew has gone out the window. You may think, “How did I never see this before?” But that’s what it’s like when the elevator doors open and you step out onto a new floor. It's unfamiliar, and at this level, it may feel like you know nothing at all.
But you do know—you know Him. So lean into the known character of the Father. Trust that He who led you this far will continue to lead you.
When those elevator doors open, regardless of the floor you were previously on, it might feel disorienting—but it’s part of the journey. And the enemy would love to flood that space with regret and shame.
But remember: shame is what always tries to block the true learning process with God.
Ask yourself: How could I have known if He hadn’t yet shown me? Or, What if I just wasn’t ready to receive it until now?
In all things, we look to Jesus, the Son. As disciples walking in the slow burn of redefined discipleship, He is the One we follow.
Jesus never got stuck. He was never stoic. He never wallowed in shame or spent years in self-loathing. He didn’t shrink back in shock at His own inadequacy.
His way of life was to live as humans were always meant to live—in full, abiding dependency on the Father and the Holy Spirit.
That is the way of life we are headed into.
Yes, in this module we’ll begin to identify places of arrested development—how and why those places got a hold on us. Even though the original shaping may have happened when we were young, vulnerable, or powerless, those same patterns still show up in our adult lives.
But even as we look at that, we do so with tremendous hope—because Christ in you means you can live the same way He did: in abiding development.
Let’s not try to skip over any part of the process. Don’t try to leapfrog pain or press fast-forward on the healing. God does have to bring down the things you’ve depended on—but He wants to do it with your full cooperation.
He wants to show you things.
So how about we continue on together?
Here at The Producer’s Way, He is going to begin to reveal things to you—things you’ve never seen before. And yes, that might bring a little fear or insecurity. That’s okay.
The Word doesn’t tell you to never feel fear. It says, don’t live in a state of fear.
So if you're feeling concerned or unsettled by what’s ahead, that's okay. You can still make a decision—out of who you really are—to keep going.
So how about we do that now?
Let’s go.
